           MEANING OF A COMPUTER NETWORK

There are two types of LAN:

This existence may separate networks that differ in many ways. These used different formats of information, used different software, and have a large variety of hardware devices. When we use the internet our data is transferred. Security is high. The Internet is used worldwide. It is like a WAN.


                                           INTRANET

A company however may not want the entire world to view one or more of its work for example a company may want to allow its employee easy access to a database, but disallow access to anyone outside the company it is possible to Offer an Internet-like service to the company employee only type of network is known as Intranet. The Internet can be easy to publish company policies and use letters to provide sales and marketing staff with product confirmation private technical support and tutorials etc.


                               INTERNET SECURITY:
